Always wanted to shoot a live model on location with flash?

There is nothing like the thrill of shooting a live model on location with small flash whether it be the woods during autumn or on the skate ramp at London’s South Bank. The Speedlighters Live sessions enable you to develop your lit portrait skills and try out new set ups in a fun and hands on session. Everyone gets to shoot and will go away with a clear understanding of the techniques demonstrated. The sessions will appeal to photographers interested in developing their flash photography skills and will cover technique and planning rather then equipment. Students will learn how to plan a location shoot, lighting plans, model release and basic copyright before shooting the Speedlighters model.

We will be using a combination of Nikon speedlights, Canon speedlite, Quantum flash, ring flash (The Ringflash Adaptor) triggered by Pocketwizards. We will also be using the Honl light shaping adaptors. Students should bring their own digital slr and be prepared to  get involved with the shoot.  We will bring a model and all the gear all you need to do is bring an open mind, a camera and a sense of humour. We usually retire to warm up/cool down and dissect the session to the nearest bar or cafe depending on the majority vote.
